Vlepki to małe samoprzylepne formy plastyczne, tworzone z myślą o ingerencji w przestrzeń publiczną. Początkowo były to naklejki zawierające rysunek (grafika, fotomontaż, zdjęcie), tekst, albo jedno i drugie.

Kilka dni temu do naszej redakcji dotarła informacja prasowa w postaci... dokumentu .odt (OpenDocument Text). Co istotne, nie była ona nadana przez jakąś organizację wspierającą wolne oprogramowanie. Nie jest to może wielki przełom, ale rzecz godna odnotowania. (blog)

Pierwsze vlepki tworzyli już dadaiści. W Polsce historia vlepek sięga czasów II wojny światowej. Była to jedna z antyhitlerowskich akcji propogandowych, jakie prowadziła grupa "Wawer" na terenie Warszawy i innych miast polskich. Również w czasach PRL-u występowały one, jednak głównie były to vlepki humorystyczne, nawiązujące często do PZPR. Same władze PRL-u używały podobnych nośników jako propagandę, chwaląc państwo i "polskiego robotnika" oraz nastawiając krytycznie na państwa dawnego Bloku Zachodniego.
